TREATMENT OF ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION IN WEST VANCOUVER WITH CIALIS, LEVITRA AND VIAGRA

Williams,C.E., Corey,J., Edmonds,W., Amin,B, Houshang,A., Ravesh, M. Dundarave

Medical Clinic, #115 - 2419 Bellevue Ave., West Vancouver, British Columbia, V7V 1E1, Canada.

Purpose: To clinically investigate the response to Cialis, Levitra and Viagra in men and couples, and to correlate this with testosterone levels.

Introduction: In our Men's Health Clinic, erectile dysfunction (ED) is a very important symptom. Overall prevalence occurs in men 30 years to 80 + years with the aging incidence rising from 5% to 50%. A disconnect exists between Physicians and patients because less than 20% of men seek treatment.

Model & Methods: An extensive questionnaire details the history of E.D - smoking, diabetes, medications used etc. There is a medical/surgical checklist. We ask how often E.D. drugs are used and do patients wish to continue with their treatment and with which E.D. drug. Satisfaction of treatment procedure is questioned as is rating of the naturalness of erections both with and without medication. We also question how we can better serve and improve our Male Gender medical knowledge and care. We studied 2 groups: (1) individual males and (2) couples (males & partners). We used the same basic questionnaire for both groups.

Results: All patients were most interested and impressed that we could be so open and forthright about their very personal sexual issues. Women proved to have great insight and as much interest as their partners. With the exception of prostaglandin injections, almost all previous E.D therapies have fallen by the wayside.

Conclusion: All 3 new E.D medications are very effective, well tolerated and much appreciated by their sexual partners when combined with testosterone. Seven years of safety studies on E.D.medications show no increase in mortality and low side effects. The E.D studies were 80% organic. Andropausal therapy and testosterone levels co-relate to the levels of success of E.D medications. All the E.D medications are very effective. Men usually will chose one, which will become an important part of their sex lives long term.
