The
Society for the Study of Androgen Deficiency
(The Andropause Society)
is an International Charity with offices in London UK.
The aims of the Society are:
(i) the advancement of education and training in the
medical understanding and treatment of androgen deficiency;
(ii) the relief of sickness, in particular, of the
short and long term consequences of androgen deficiency;
(iii) the protection and preservation of the public health,
in particular of the ageing population.
The Society also aims to provide an information resource for lay
members wishing to become informed about androgen deficiency
and its consequences for health.
Welcome to ONLINE TRAINING
This
site is dedicated to the training of Medical Professionals in the Diagnosis
and Treatment of Androgen Deficiency in Men
This
ONLINE TRAINING COURSE aims to instruct General Practitioners
to competently diagnose and treat Androgen Deficiency in men by way
of a progressive series of on-line modules containing lectures, course
material, and assessment questionaires. Downloadable slide sheets allow
the Trainee to takes notes during the lecture. The lecture itself can
be played as many times as necessary, and navigated backwards and forwards
at will.
The
assessment questionnare relating to each lecture will have to
be answered at least 80% satisfactorily before the student can
progress to the next module.
Students
will graduate with a certificate of competence provided by SSAD, and
a listing, if requested, in the directory of trained physicians which
is maintained by the SSAD Help Centre for lay members.
